Welcome to our website!  Central Plains Enterprises, llc is a great company to buy cast bullets from.  We consider our bullets to be hard cast lead bullets or hard cast bullets as they are made from today’s most popular alloy of 2% tin, 6% antimony and 92% lead.  This is the standard “off the shelf” alloy from the major foundries serving the bullet casting market.

We can cast an excellent bullet from it.  It retains the desired characteristics of good flow into the molds, just the right element of hardness to allow great penetration and the proper amount of lead for weight.

There is no way to cheat the system when manufacturing high quality cast lead bullets. You either use a quality alloy, produce good consistent bullets, or you don’t. There are things you can do when casting for your own use that you can’t do when casting commercially.  It is impractical to pig up your own alloy when casting commercially.  We salute all the men and women that still pig their own alloy and cast their own bullets, that’s where we came from!  It is a good skill to have and share with fellow shooters.

Not all hard cast lead bullets are created equal.  There are plenty of gimmicks being used to sell bullets.  Most of the gimmicks are used to justify higher prices or convince you that a lower quality alloy makes a bullet better suited for your intended purpose.

We price our hard cast bullets as competitively as we can.  Like everyone else we are at the mercy of the lead market.  We control what we can, like our overhead, machinery and manufacturing process.  Our packaging is such that we can ship a single package in a small flat rate box.  It saves quite a bit in shipping compared to larger boxes.  With our bulk bullets we try to pack a few more in than if you ordered four individual packages.  We could pack in more but sixty pounds of bullets are more than most folks, including your Postal delivery person, cares to handle.

Our product numbers start with the sized diameter-nominal bullet weight-abbreviated description-bullet base style-alloy.  For example 452-230-RN-BB-2692;  this is a .452 diameter (45 caliber) 230 grain round nose flat point bevel based bullet cast from 2/6/92.  Right now all the bullets are cast from 2/6/92.  All the cast bullets with the exception of the 400 grain 45-70 have bevel bases.  This particular 45-70 has a flat or plain base.  We have a Cowboy 45-70 but it is bevel base.

Give our cast bullets a try!  We think you will find them an excellent value.  We put a lot of effort into great customer service and sharing our knowledge and experience in videos and blog posts.  If you are having an issue with hard cast bullets don’t suffer in silence, drop us a line, we are here to help.
